Greetings, readers! As some of you might remember, I featured a podcast the other day that caters primarily to Formula 1 fans. After I posted it I felt that I somehow left some of you out with nothing so today I thought I’d feature something that every gearhead and car enthusiast can appreciate, and not just racing fans. Let me present The Autoblog Podcast!
Hosted by Chris Shunk, Dan Roth, and Zach Bowman, the guys discuss several car makes and models on each episode so you don’t end up listening to two or more guys talk about the same car for over an hour. The show covers everything, and I do mean everything about cars, auto shows, new model releases, from SUVs to compacts. If this podcast were a magazine, it’d be stacked up on the shelf alongside ‘Car And Driver’ or ‘Road & Track’.
Crazy about football? Then Football Weekly is the podcast for you. Hosted by James Richardson, the show tackles the latest news about the sport. In the recent episode, James and the gang talk about the shocking defeat for Manchester United, Liverpool’s field problems and other news from Spain, Italy and Germany.
It took a while before thousands of rock and heavy metal fans realized that they’ve just rocked to the guitar sound of one of the biggest stars in Hollywood during the 2012 Revolver Golden Gods Awards held in Los Angeles last Wednesday night.
Marilyn Manson’s number, ‘Sweet Dreams’ was graced by a special guitar performance by Johnny Depp. Yes, that Johnny Depp. Sporting a black button-down shirt, black jeans, black boots, and a black cowboy hat that covered most of his face, he was able to keep a fairly low profile onstage.
Depp’s presence was only revealed right after Marilyn Manson told the audience, “If you don’t recognize my personal friend … my personal savior, my personal guitar hero … Johnny Depp!” to which they cheered.
Travel in 10 is one of the world’s first travel podcasts. Hosted by David Brodie, the show covers different destinations around the world, from restaurants to hotels to festivals and more. With a new show posted every month, this is your 10-minute guide to the world.

Today’s featured podcast is sure to be a treat for all racing fans, especially those of Formula 1. Hosted by Christine Blachford, Sidepodcast is a show dedicated to give you the latest scoop on what’s happening in the fast-paced world of F1 racing.
And no, this isn’t your typical motorsport show that makes you feel like you’re basically just listening to an audio version of the TV news. Christine won’t just bring you the headlines and statistics, she’ll also throw in some gossip and humor as well. Add a few conspiracy theories, honest opinions, and irreverent musings with her technically-minded co-host and you’re sure to enjoy a lively and refreshing time.
Aside from co-founding Sidepodcast, Christine Blachford is also a writer and producer for F1minute and F1 Big Picture, and also the author of 3 F1-related books which you can find here. So yeah, you can bet that she’s a true-blue Formula 1 aficionado.
Just when you thought that you’ve finally gotten over the anxiety from anticipating its arrival into theaters, here comes Marvel once again with not just a trailer, but a featurette to whet your appetite even more.
The clip contains behind-the-scenes footage, and interview snippets of Director Joss Whedon, and actors Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson. Avengers Assemble arrives in cinemas on May 4th.
Oh, and here’s a little bonus for those of you who still haven’t seen it. It’s the first full clip from the movie featuring a scene where the vivacious Scarlett Johansson’s character Black Widow is being interrogated by some group of unscrupulous characters.
Amsterdam-based edgewear line Stüssy has launched a Facebook ad campaign that has quickly earned its fair share of controversy. The campaign, Strip for Likes, calls for Facebook users to Like a fully-clothed model’s photo, wherein the model gradually strips off layers of her outfit based on how many Likes she gets.
Arnold Amsterdam concocted this campaign, with Creative Director Colin Lamberton stating, “As you can imagine the model must be suffocating under that many layers of clothing. It is almost a public duty to free her out of this misery so we are expecting Facebook fans to help out here. Like and undress.”
However, some reacted to the program, calling it ‘misogynistic’ and ‘degrading.’ Since the idea was born in Amsterdam where nudity is not quite an issue, this could be more of a cultural gap between locals and foreign consumers. Also, the brand aims for ‘edge and rumor’ built around its image so it seems to have achieved that well. But the biggest question that hangs over the public’s heads is, where does the strict implementation of Facebook’s policy figure in here now, where it states, “You must not use Facebook features or functionality, such as the Like button, as a voting mechanism for a promotion.”?

Lately there’s been a nice featurette circulating the web that involves one of the favorite characters in the 90′s hit movie American Pie — Jim’s dad. It’s a fair marketing move for the movie actually, considering that it was just released last Friday, April 6. It might just be what the fans need to remind them how and why they love the movie in the first place!
