This Hot Hot Hoops Podcast’s episode features the recently concluded 2012 NBA Finals series that was won by the Miami Heat against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Diego Quezada, Mnelik Belilgne and Surya Fernandez take a look back and discuss the coaching match-up between Erik Spoelstra and Scott Brooks whom the former convincingly won; how LeBron James took his game to a much higher level and rose up to the challenge when it counted most, playing a splendid monster ball game with a triple-double performance on closing the series in Game 5 at Miami’s homecourt; how much the Heat’s experience matter in the series after a very disappointing performance in last season’s Finals appearance against the Dallas Mavericks, what lessons LeBron learned from that humbling experience and will we see the OKC team reach the NBA Finals again and have them pit against the reigning champs Miami Heat in the years to come?
Lisa Kudrow gets to reunite with her fellow Friends alum David Schwimmer in her Showtime TV series Web Therapy. Kudrow, the actress who we all know more as the goofy but lovable blonde in the classic hit comedy series now plays Dr. Fiona Wallice, a therapist who decides to conduct just three minutes of sessions with her clients via webcam chat.
The former Friends star appeared on the Today show to talk about her show’s second season and the guests stars who will be making an appearance. When asked what it was like to work again with her former co-star she said, “It was so fun and I did have like, 10 seconds, when we first started of, 'I don't know what Phoebe says to Ross here.'”
Schwimmer will be appearing in a four-episode arc of Web Therapy as Newell Miller, who apparently is the son of a professor whom Kudrow’s character, Dr. Wallice, had an affair with in college. His appearance on the show will mark the second time Kudrow is reunited with a former Friends star; the first being Courtney Cox who appeared in one episode from the previous season.
Other big-name stars that will be dropping by to see the (self-centered) doctor include Conan O’Brien, Molly Shannon, Meryl Streep, Rosie O'Donnell, Minnie Driver and Selma Blair. Sigh. Seeing that list surely makes me hate my cable provider even more for discontinuing the inclusion of Showtime on its channel lineup.
Anyway, here’s a sneak peek at the second season of Web Therapy, which premieres on Monday July 2nd at 11pm EST.

With Marc Webb’s upcoming reboot of the Spider-Man movie franchise only a day away, HitFix recently posted this cool and very insightful video about everybody’s favorite web-crawler. From its comic book origins to Sam Raimi’s box office success in the beginning of the 21st century.
The video runs for almost a good 10 minutes so you can bet you’ll get your fair share of all the juicy information regarding the characters and their actors. One YouTube commenter did raise a very good question though: why did it leave out Gwen Stacy’s father George Stacy, played by Denis Leary? Is it probably because the character didn’t have that much significant role in the comic anyways? Your guess is as good as mine.
Let your spider senses tingle as you watch the said video below.

The unpleasant encounter between Santos and Baldwin happened Tuesday morning outside the New York City marriage license bureau as the actor and his fiancée, Hilaria Thomas, were exiting the building just after obtaining a marriage license.
“I never hit him with the camera,” said Santos, denying Baldwin’s story. “How am I gonna take a picture if I come too close?” he added.
Santos claimed that the 30 Rock star started to go after another photographer first, but came at him after he spoke up. “He threw a punch,” as Santos reiterated his claims, “Right on the chin.” He goes on to say that he has headaches and joint pain from the impact despite the fact that he moved back to soften the blow.
When asked about what he would say to the actor, he replied, “I have nothing to say to him… I’m just feeling so embarrassed for what he did to me. I like to take pictures, [for] my picture [to] be on the front page, not me be on the front page.”
