Father’s Day is just around the corner, and the podcast I’ve chose to feature for today couldn’t be more timely. I think every dad out there would appreciate this, it’s called HT Guys and the show is all about home theaters. After all, next to the car or the power tools in the garage, it is one of the things found at home that falls under the category of ‘toys for the big boys’.
The show is hosted by Ara Derderian and Braden Russell, both of whom are Engineers who formerly worked for Sony Pictures Entertainment, under the Advanced Digital Systems Group (ADSG), which happens to be the R&D unit of the sound department that produce products for movie theaters and movie studios. With that kind of background, you can bet that these two know what they’re talking about.
Every week they talk about HDTVs (High Definition TV) and HTs (Home Theather), bring in news from the A/V world, and give helpful productreviews. In this featured episode, they give their review on John Carter in Blu-ray, Netgear’s NeoTV Streaming Player, and The Pocket TV Kickstarter Project. The news segment covers DirectTV’s thoughts on Apple HDTV as a competitor, and the current status on its channel lineup.

Installed custom Windows 7 64bit on my computer last night. I had been using my hdtv as a monitor for the past month with Windows Vista with no problems. Now I want to continue using my hdtv as a monitor but all I see is a blank screen, I have a Dell Inspiron laptop, a vga cable, my tv is a 32″ LG hdtv. Can anyone help?
