Marcus Santos, the New York Daily News photographer who was allegedly on the receiving end of Alec Baldwin’s fist got a chance to appear on Good Morning America on Thursday and tell his side of the story regarding his altercation with the Hollywood actor.

The unpleasant encounter between Santos and Baldwin happened Tuesday morning outside the New York City marriage license bureau as the actor and his fiancée, Hilaria Thomas, were exiting the building just after obtaining a marriage license.

“I never hit him with the camera,” said Santos, denying Baldwin’s story. “How am I gonna take a picture if I come too close?” he added.
Santos claimed that the 30 Rock star started to go after another photographer first, but came at him after he spoke up. “He threw a punch,” as Santos reiterated his claims, “Right on the chin.” He goes on to say that he has headaches and joint pain from the impact despite the fact that he moved back to soften the blow.

When asked about what he would say to the actor, he replied, “I have nothing to say to him… I’m just feeling so embarrassed for what he did to me. I like to take pictures, [for] my picture [to] be on the front page, not me be on the front page.”
