In response to a report on TMZ Tuesday, Anger Management star Charlie Sheen has confirmed that he’s on board the idea of becoming one of the next two new judges of the reality show American Idol. That is, provided that two of his conditions are met:

1) If FX, the network that airs his show Anger Management, would give its blessings to the deal, and
2) if the money is right.

“If the numbers move the needle and ‘Idol’ matches twenty percent of my weekly salary for Autism Speaks, JDRF, and the Boys and Girls Club … then the hell with it. As we say, pour the smoke,” said Sheen.

If things push through, Sheen will be replacing Jennifer Lopez, who has been reported to have shown a wobbly commitment to the job, noting that she had been “really on the fence” about returning for the second season.

Moreover, executive producer Nigel Lythgoe has told gossip website, TMZ, that he’d love to have Sheen on the panel, but also mentioned comedian Jerry Lewis, so he could have just been having a laugh.
