USA Basketball had finally named the 12 players that will suit up on this year’s London Olympics. Chairman Jerry Colangelo and the rest of the coaching staff, led by Mike Kryzewski (Duke), Jim Boeheim (Syracuse), Nate McMillan (Blazers), and Mike D’Antoni (Suns and Knicks) had cut down the final Team USA who are still the heavy favorites to win the gold medal even though the World closely reaches in the gap because of big-name NBA superstars in the lineup.

Five players from the previous Olympics are making a comeback led by Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and Deron Williams. Completing the roster are 2012 Defensive Player of the Year Tyson Chandler, Kevin Love, Andre Iguodala, Blake Griffin and the Big Three of OKC, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden.

Although the team lost key players like big men Dwight Howard and Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade and MVP pointguard Derrick Rose, the latest team, despite being smaller compared to the 2008 USA Team, brings in speed and versatility with the lineup, consisting of players who can play multiple positions.
