We got a couple of superhero-related stories for you today: one’s a news update and the other’s just a rumor (for now at least).
First, the news bit. ETOnline reports that the production for the third Iron Man sequel has been temporarily suspended after its main star, Robert Downey Jr., was injured on the set.

Marvel Studios have confirmed in a statement that the 47-year-old actor has sustained an ankle injury while performing a stunt in Wilmington, North Carolina, hence there will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates. Iron Man 3 is set to release on May 3, 2013, which also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearcce, Don Cheadle and Sir Ben Kingsley.
As for the rumor? Well, it’s possible that Fast And Furious star Vin Diesel might be set on playing the role of Vision in the much-anticipated sequel to Marvel’s The Avengers. In the comics, Vision is a character created by Ultron that was supposed to exact revenge on member Henry Pym (a.k.a. Ant-Man) but was eventually convinced to shift allegiances.
Where and how did this rumor start? Cinema Blend reported that it originated from Comic Book Therapy, when one of its writers noticed that the actor has changed his Facebook profile pic to that of the Vision. Why all the fuss? It’s because Diesel has been known to use various social media platforms to disseminate information to his fans.
According to Cinema Blend, "In the recent past he has posted pictures and concept art from his long-gestating attempts to made a third Riddick movie. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that he could be dropping a hint. Then again, maybe he just likes the Vision." We’ll leave the guessing and the speculation to you.
