“Sometimes, it does get real. Too real for a (director) who’s trying to keep a diplomatic set.” This was revealed by Shia LaBeouf for dropping acid for his latest role in the upcoming movie The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman.
LaBeouf prepared for a key acid-dropping scene by actually doing it, because his character had to be high.
“There’s a way to do an acid trip like Harold & Kumar, and there's a way to be on acid," added LaBeouf. "What I know of acting, Sean Penn actually strapped up to that (electric) chair in Dead Man Walking. These are the guys that I look up to."
LaBeouf is no newbie when it comes to doing it for real in a shoot. His upcoming movie Nymphomaniac, all the sex scenes would be done for real on the set. Talk about dedication to the true art form. But let’s just hope that he doesn’t get any role for a really bad guy in the future that would require him to commit crimes because his way of preparation might get a little overboard and out of hand.
