Christian Bale has done another heroic act off-screen as he flew a four-year old leukemia patient Jayden Barber and his family out to L.A. and had an intimate lunch at Disneyland’s Club 33.
Barber has been battling cancer for over two years.
The boy’s mother posted some photos of Bale with her son on Facebook under the specially-made group Lighting the Batsignal for Jayden and wrote a post.
“The entire interaction was like old friends having lunch. Jayden did not get star struck but was well aware of who we were with! They talked movies and super heroes and he was genuinely happy to hear about everything Jayden wanted to tell him. Christian, his wife and daughter are three of the most beautiful people we have ever met! Christian made these arrangements for us personally and ensured we were treated like royalty. I don’t have even one negative thing to say about them. I can tell you that they were just as impressed w Jayden as Jayden was w them ”
This is Bale’s second act of kindness in the past two months. Earlier, Bale visited the victims’ of the Colorado shooting incident during the midnight screening of his film The Dark Knight Rises.
It’s a heartwarming experience and Bale has pretty much lived up to his Dark Knight persona off-cam as he and his family are reaching out to others and helping them. I salute his gentle kindness and truly he and his family are some of the most beautiful people you’ll ever meet.
