Bring it On actress Natina Reed was reportedly killed on Friday night in Atlanta after getting hit by a car. Reed, who was also part of ‘90s R&B girl group Blaque, was pronounced dead at Gwinnett Medical Center. Police said she was struck at an intersection near Lilburn, Atlanta two days before her 33rd birthday.
The girls of Blaque were protégés of the late TLC member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. Blaque is an acronym for Believing, Life, Achieving, Quest, Unity and Everything. They released a number of hit singles that included 808, I Do, and Bring It All To Me.
The devastating news has reached her former bandmates Brandi Williams and Shamari Fears-DeVoe and said, "Natina continuously embodied the pioneering spirit of Blaque and her undeniable creativity touched the hearts of fans everywhere".
"Natina was a mother, sister, accomplished songwriter, artist and friend."
"We ask for your prayers at this time for Natina's family. She will forever be missed and her global influence eternally felt."
Authorities have ruled that the driver who hit Reed was not at fault and no charges are expected to be filed.
