15-year-old Kick Ass star Chloe Grace Moretz almost didn’t get the lead role in the Carrie remake because she was too young (the character was 17/18 years old). MGM didn’t want to deal with filming and timing restrictions brought on by her age. However, after several meetings and auditions, she impressed director Kimberly Peirce into giving her the role of the bullied schoolgirl.
Moretz will be playing alongside Julianne Moore, who portrays the role of her fundamentalist mother.
Carrie is set for a March 15th 2013 release.
