When Liam Neeson made his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this week, Ellen’s audiences became ecstatic. The Taken actor showed up wearing a pink robe and slippers causing them to scream in excitement, and even more so when he struck a sexy pose and then began to pull the robe’s hem up revealing his thighs and a bit of his underwear, which was of course, pink as well.
Why the wardrobe, or lack thereof? Well, it’s all for charity and is basically a part of the show’s stunt to help raise money for breast cancer research in commemoration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The mechanics as explained by Ellen, was for Liam to sit on a chair inside a dunk tank and be doused in water, much like the kind you’d see in county fairs and carnivals. A lucky member of the audience was picked to do the honors of throwing balls at the target to send Mr. Neeson to his drenched fate and also thereby having $10,000 donated to Ellen’s charity called “Ellen for the Cure.”
The original $10,000 for charity doubled when Liam bargained with Ellen before taking off his robe saying, “If I take this off, does the $10,000 become $20,000?” To which Ellen replied, “I’ll make that happen.” The total donation reached $20,043.
Ellen later then tweeted a picture of the actor with the message, “Liam Neeson raised $20,043 wearing this outfit. $20,000 from Shutterfly, and $43 in singles stuck in his speedo.”
