The third time’s the charm. Actress-television director Melissa Gilbert and Thirtysomething star Timothy Busfield are set to head to the altar for the third time.

News just broke out when one source said that “they got engaged over the holidays,” and Melissa’s rep confirmed the news via US Weekly. “They’ve known each other for quite some time, as their paths have crossed off-and-on over the past 20 years. They are engaged and both are incredibly happy.” The actress also gushes on Twitter:

This will be a third marriage for both stars. Gilbert was previously married to Bo Brinkman for four years. After three years, Bruce Boxleitner married her in 1995 and their marriage lasted until 2011. Timothy’s first wife was Radha Delmarter. After they broke up, he married Jenny Meriwin. Both Gilbert and Busfield have children from their previous marriages.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Six Movie Trailers To Watch Before Super Bowl XLVII

Super Bowl XLVII is just right around the corner but aside from the battle between the San Franciso 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens itself, there are three other things that are bound to be talked about the following days after: 1) the halftime show (especially if someone ever pulls off either a fantastic performance or a controversial stunt), 2) the TV commercials, and yeah, the movie trailers.

Super Bowl XLVII

So for today we’ll be digging in more on the third option in the list since the first one’s already had more than its fair share of press coverage (all thanks to Beyonce), whereas the TV commercials have yet to air on the day of the event.

Since Super Bowl means a huge number of viewers, major Hollywood studios see this as a huge advertising opportunity for their movies. Last year brought previews for movies like the Avengers and Hunger Games, so which movie trailers can we expect to see this year?

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Universal will unveil the very first trailer for the sixth installment of The Fast and The Furious, which reunites director Justin Lin with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster and Dwayne Johnson.

Paramount on the other hand, will feature a 30-second trailer for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness during the quarter game and also a preview of the zombiepocalypse World War Z, which stars Brad Pitt.

A 30-second TV spot during the Super Bowl can cost up to $4 million but that didn’t stop Disney from buying three of their movies some airtime, namely Sam Raimi’s Oz The Great and Powerful, a 90-second TV spot for Johnny Depp’s The Lone Ranger, and a new 60-second spot for Iron Man 3!

Below are the latest trailers and clips for the above movies so far before we all get to see the new ones come Super Bowl this Sunday, February 3:

Singer Marc Anthony and foxy Venezuelan model girlfriend Shannon de Lima have called it quits after dating for a year. The break-up was amicable and became official in mid-January, according to a statement made by Anthony’s rep Blanca Lasalle.

The split was confirmed days after Anthony met his ex-wife singer/actress Jennifer Lopez, who were spotted spending two and a half hours at The Mark Hotel. They were married for seven years and had twins named Max and Emme. The ex-couple remained on good terms, even worked together on the Latin star search show Q Viva!.

De Lima and Anthony went public last year and seemed to be going strong, even seen by people last January 16 in New York City at Marquee. An insider said they have a great time together but their relationship just didn’t work out.

Movie Review: The Life of Pi

For those who have read Yann Martel’s Booker Prize-winning novel you will know that The Life of Pi is about an Indian teenager named Pi who survived a horrible trial at sea and took a long journey of adventure and discovery.

Pi can’t grasp the idea of not having faith. If Pi did not hold on to his faith it is possible that he would have lost his will to live. The Bible is not fact. It is a series of stories that you must put your faith in to believe in it. Life is what we believe it to be, and takes a leap of faith.

In the third section of the film, the Japanese reporters asked Pi to explain the Tsimtsum sinking. The reporters did not accept this story, because it seemed impossible. They were not willing to put faith in the idea. Pi told another version of the same story — this time including people instead of animals. He had created a version of reality in his mind to deal with the revenge he had taken on the murder of his mother. For him it was easier to imagine a tiger doing the killing instead of himself.

Though religious beliefs or nonbelief may vary from viewer to viewer, there is no denying that this film is a very, very beautiful to watch.

Taiwanese film director and screenwriter Ang Lee has brought to the screen an apparently unfilmable story with remarkable mastery of computer animation. His achievement for releasing this film has shown him to be one of the most well-informed directors on the planet.

Every year of life you live, you take another step closer to your final leap. Faith. A simple word yet has a lot of meaning, but without the decision to act on faith, life is without meaning. The purpose of life is all based on your leap of faith.

Wozniak Says ‘jOBS’ Clip Is “Totally Wrong”

It was only the first and just one of many other short scenes that we’re going to see right before we actually see the whole movie, but what are the odds that the studio would choose a scene that would be considered as “totally wrong” by Steve Wozniak, the man who knew Steve Jobs better than anyone else?

More importantly, how accurate will the entire movie be? Some people are already expressing their disappointment and their worries about the movie’s accuracy, and for good reason. But of course, that wouldn’t stop others (probably Jobs fans in particular) from defending the movie, pointing out that other biopics weren’t accurate either.

But going back to Woz. In a comment he posted on Gizmodo, the Apple co-founder described the scene as “embarrassing” and that he and Jobs “never had such interaction and roles.”

He continues, “I’m not even sure what it’s getting at… personalities are very wrong although mine is closer…don’t forget that my purpose was inspired by the values of the Homebrew Computer Club along with ideas of the value of such machines and Steve J. wasn’t around and didn’t attend the club so he was the one learning about such social impact of the future.”

Woz also followed up with an email stating that the ideas of personal computers affecting society wasn’t Jobs’s idea.
“Steve came back from Oregon and came to a club meeting and didn’t start talking about this great social impact. His idea was to make a $20 PC board and sell it for $40 to help people at the club build the computer I’d given away. Steve came from selling surplus parts at HalTed he always saw a way to make a quick buck off my designs (this was the 5th time).”

The lofty talk came much further down the line.

“I never looked like a professional. We were both kids. Our relationship was so different that what was portrayed. I’m embarrassed but if the movie is fun and entertaining, all the better. Anyone who reads my book iWoz can get a clearer picture.”

Gee, after reading everything that Woz said, I suddenly feel like I’ll just have to stick with my copy of Pirates of Silicon Valley. But of course that doesn’t mean that I’m not interested in watching jOBS anymore. And besides, I heard that Aaron Sorkin is penning his own version of a Steve Jobs biopic (his is based on Walter Isaacson’s Steve Jobs: The Exclusive Biography), so there might still be some hope left.
