Are you running out of bedtime stories to tell your kids at night? Don’t fret. D Michael Rue’s podcast has got your back! Titled Biddy Bedtime Stories, this audio show features a character named Biddy, a duck who always has a little story he likes to share every night to kids. But before you start thinking that this’ll replace your typical fairytales, I’m gonna have to tell you that Biddy’s stories aren’t like those found in the usual children’s story books.
Biddy, together with his friends Douglas the lumberjack, Bruin the bear, and a few others talk about little everyday things (ex. school, pineapples, slippers, etc.) and events in their life (ex. birthdays, 4 seasons, camping, etc.) in each episode. The stories are fun to listen to because they are rich in jokes and songs.
But again, there’s a chance that Biddy’s stories might not be your child’s cup of tea (or milk), so give it a few test runs first. Another thing that might push you away from this is its length: it only runs to 10 minutes tops – no more – and even doesn’t happen quite often. In other words, you may have to run two to three episodes a night to get your child to sleep.

This podcast that I’m about to tell you about right now actually reminded me of the couple of podcasts that I previously featured (The Moth, Funny Cuz), in that it’s random, it’s recorded on a stage in front of a live audience, and it too involves random people who are totally strangers to each other. It’s called Ask Roulette, and the difference between this one from the other two is that this time around, people ask questions rather than telling a story.
The show goes like this: on the stage are two chairs, separated by a divider. People from the audience are then randomly called in one at a time to sit on the chairs. The first person then gets to ask the next person any question he/she wants, and that alone already opens up lots of possibilities ranging from serious to very silly. Whichever it is, rest assured that it’s going to be very interesting.
Once the question is answered, the first person then steps down and then another person is called. This time, the one who answered the question earlier gets to ask the next person a question of their own, and then the process just repeats itself. If you’re called, you don’t get to see the person who you’re posing your question to, and it is this anonymity that’s the heart of the experience.
If you like this kind of random form of entertainment that involves real people – and by that I mean people you normally see on the streets who aren’t entertainers by profession – then you’ll enjoy listening to this podcast.

Does anyone here still remember the ‘Unflattering Beyonce’ Photoshop meme that just went viral after the opening of Super Bowl XLVII on February 3? Well, better have your memories refreshed because reports have come in stating that the pop/R&B diva has just introduced some preventive measures that such an incident never happens again during her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.

According to a report by The Guardian on Wednesday (April 24), the 31-year-old superstar has banned professional and independent photographers from her current world tour and that “no photo credentials” have been granted for its duration. All official photos of the concert event are now going to be taken only by hired photographer, Frank Micelotta. Hence any news outlet that wants to acquire and use any official images from the said tour will have to get them from him via a link to a website that features shots taken from Amsterdam, Zagreb, Belgrade, and Bratislava.

If the news outlets don’t want to get their photos from Micelotta, they can however, as an alternative, opt for the non-official photos taken by the crowd using their mobile phones. In fact, some of them have already been making rounds across the internet.
Beyonce’s management currently has only released just two photos from Monday’s first show.
Chris Brown has a new toy, a hot customized Lamborghini! Brown’s car gets pimped at West Coast Customs and it looks similar to a Hot Wheels car. Painted in electric shades of blue with yellow, red and white plus matching sky blue rims, it definitely is a head-turner as it reminds you of those die-cast car models.
The car, according to a spokesperson at local dealership, costs approximately $120,000. This doesn't even cover the costs of customization.
Brown’s Lambo is a two-seater model and has a 493 horsepower V-10 engine which can go from 0-60 miles an hour in 3.7 seconds.
The hiphop/rnb artist is known to own high-end sports cars. He also has a Porsche which costs an estimate of $200,000 which got crashed in an attempt to avoid the paparazzi. With this hot car, expect Rihanna to be seen inside it soon.
Emma Watson steals more than just the spotlight in this latest film by Sofia Coppola titled ‘The Bling Ring’ that is based on a series of real events about a group of teenage girls who went out on a crime spree by breaking into various high profile celebrities’ homes, stealing their stuff and living out their glamorous Hollywood lifestyles; their list of victims includes the likes of Paris Hitlon, Lindsay Lohan, and Rachel Bilson, among others.

In the trailer, Watson, who plays Nicki, devises a bold and sinister plan along with Marc, played by Israel Broussard, wherein they can be like their favorite stars. Their group is then shown breaking into Paris Hilton’s home while she’s out of town. Things then eventually get a bit out of hand as they all find themselves being pursued by authorities and covered by the news media. (Watch the full trailer below.)
The film also stars Katie Chang, Taissa Farmiga, Georgia Rock, Gavin Rossdale, and Leslie Mann. It will have a limited release in the US on June 14 (July 5 in UK) and will also open this year’s Cannes Film Festival which will run through May 15 to 26.
Reese Witherspoon was arrested after arguing with a police officer who stopped her husband James Toth, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. The award-winning actress allegedly threatened the Georgia state trooper that he was going to be on national news after he handcuffed her for disorderly conduct at Atlanta’s Peachtree Road on Friday morning.
That didn’t stop Trooper First Class J. Pyland from arresting her with dialogue worthy of a film script. After that, Witherspoon has then issued a formal apology that includes a statement that speaks to her husband’s DUI charge.
Since then, the incident has spurred parodies on late-night TV, such as with Jimmy Kimmel and Jay Leno's shows. Watch Leno’s monologue at his show.
Janet Diane Mourglia-Swerdlow of Expansions.Com brings you something special that will make you mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually happy. In this episode, she will teach you how to make delicious chocolate chip cookies.
The process in making this recipe is very easy and will only take you a few minutes to mix and bake the flour, butter, and other ingredients. If you think your batter is too dry, you can always add a drop or two of water but don’t overdo it as you may get surprised at how fast your batter can turn to mush.
Watch the video and enjoy the taste of freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies!
Not every podcast that you come across has a specific purpose. Such is the case with Steve Silverman’s podcast simply and aptly named Useless Information Podcast, which is basically a show about random but real-life stories that you never really needed to know, but your life would be incomplete without.
The content of the podcast itself is indeed very interesting and it can really get you hooked. As soon as Steve starts telling the story it’ll be hard to stop listening. It’s almost as if it’s already wrong to even describe the stories and the trivia he mentions as useless, because you'll find them fascinating.
One caveat about this podcast though is Steve’s delivery: some listeners find his manner of speaking to be quite distracting. The way he tells his stories is like he’s speaking to an audience of grade schoolers. It might do him and his listeners a service if he changes his inflection. Anyway, if you can get past Steve’s delivery then everything ought to be good for you about this podcast.
