There are quite a number of brand new TV shows that look fairly good to see this summer but I don’t think that any of them have what it takes to generate as much as, or more anticipation than the ones that we’ve already grown to love. Here are some of our favorite series such as the ones listed below.
Breaking Bad Season 5 (Premieres on July 15) – No doubt that this is one of the most highly-anticipated TV shows in this list. It’s the final season to the series that probably inspired some people to take up chemistry. Now that the series is coming to an end, a lot of questions that’ll lead to closure (maybe) will be answered, such as “Will Jesse ever find out what Walter did to Jane and Brock?” One thing is certain, it’s going to be one emotional roller coaster ride as we bid goodbye to our favorite lovable meth dealers.
Stars: Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Bob Odenkirk, Betsy Brandt, RJ Mitte
Whose Line Is It Anyway (Premieres on July 16) – Our favorite group of improv comedians are back on CW, this time with Aisha Tyler taking over Drew Carey’s role as host/judge. Get ready to experience side stitches once again as Colin Mochrie, Wayne Brady, and Ryan Stiles compete once again in this witty comedy game show that showcases each of their improve skills.
Stars: Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie, and new host Aisha Tyler
Dexter Season 8 (Premieres on June 30) – From drug dealers to serial killers, the fate of another one of our antiheroes will finally be sealed in its final season. For the past seven seasons, Dexter has managed to avoid getting caught by the authorities but since this will be the series’ swan song, we'll see if the powers that be will give him a peaceful end to his 'career' or a solitary life behind bars.
The Walking Dead Season 4 (Premieres on October) – If Breaking Bad isn’t the most highly anticipated new seasons this year, it’s probably the second. And the one that will take the title is TWD. Personally, I think it's safe to say that we can expect some changes in the way the story is told now that Glen Mazzara has left the series. Hopefully, if any, let’s just hope that the effect won’t be a negative one.
Doctor Who 50th Anniversary (November 23) – While not exactly a brand new season for the series, it still definitely counts as one of the most anticipated returns this year, especially since it celebrates the show’s 50th anniversary. Even though not much about the show’s celebration has been announced, almost everyone is waiting to see what executive producer Steven Moffat has in store for fans. The anticipation for this celebration is as high as the hopes of the fans to see some of previous Doctors make a return or at least make an appearance in this television milestone.
An office is a place for work and when you have a co-worker who seem to care less about the surroundings by doing unnecessary activities that should be done elsewhere, most probably at home, it’s pretty annoying to the point you get distracted and your work suffers as well.
So here’s a video that shows you different things a person does that could definitely piss anyone at work, which points to how you can have a better working relationship with your colleagues.
Some of the examples shown here, like I said earlier, have a proper venue for it.
If you need to exercise, then just do it at your desk and just do simple routines like stretching. Bringing in clunky equipment are a big no-no as using them in the workplace may cause accidents and unwanted injuries. Clipping nails should be done at home and not in the office nor in public places. Getting into the flow of music while listening using a headset is good, but singing loudly? Now that’s a different story.
Yes, these things happen in any office environment so better be courteous and respect your colleagues, as you’re not the only person there. It's good manners, plain and simple.
Chris Brown is now being investigated for a hit-and-run incident that he was involved in on Monday (May 21). This is following a report made by TMZ that the Fine China singer is being accused of refusing to hand over his driver’s license and insurance information after rear-ending a woman driver’s Mercedes with his Range Rover at a set of traffic lights in Beverly Hills, California. And it didn’t stop there, also according to the report, Brown even gave the woman false insurance information.

If the accusations are found true, Brown could be facing jail time for violating his parole, which was granted to him after he was charged with assault and domestic violence for beating up then-girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009.
A source close to Brown, however, claims that the he was fully cooperative during the time of the collision and that he even gave his correct driver’s license and insurance details. “[Chris] has tried to contact the driver to confirm the right information following the allegations,” the source said. “Unfortunately, it would seem she has gone of the radar and isn’t responding to his attempts to resolve the situation,” the source added.
Mirror.co.uk obtained a photo of the vehicle that Chris is blamed for colliding with, and from the looks of it, there’s hardly even any damage at all.

This isn’t the first time Brown got involved in a car accident. In February, he wrecked his Porsche 911 after he hurtled into a wall claiming he was cut off by “aggressive” paparazzi in Los Angeles, California.
Fast & Furious 6 has made quite a killing at the box office this weekend as it easily overtook The Hangover Part III, the final chapter to Warner Bros.’ raunchy comedy trilogy which stars Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, and Ed Helms. The sixth installment to The Fast and the Furious franchise set a record-breaking four-day weekend generating estimated receipts of $316 million.

It debuted at No. 1 with $120 million, making it the biggest opening weekend for a Universal Pictures release, while also garnering an additional $158 million in international sales, according to Hollywood.com.
Needless to say, theater owners across the US are likely jumping for joy as the car-centered movie alone brought in huge crowds to the movies. Universal executives said that the only way to stay relevant is to make the new movies, particularly to huge movie franchise such as Fast and Furious, even bigger and better than the previous installments.
Other movies enjoying huge returns in revenue are J.J. Abrams’ sci-fi flick Star Trek Into Darkness, the animated film Epic from Fox and Blue Sky, and on its fourth week in theaters is Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3.
Move over Lindsay Lohan, because here’s the latest news trendsetter that people would forget about your mischievous acts. The Amanda Bynes’ saga continues and her drama has gone to bizarre lengths.
After getting arrested by NYPD authorities for allegedly throwing a marijuana bong out of the window of her 36th-floor Manhattan apartment, Bynes has reacted that the cops illegally entered her apartment and that the arresting officer sexually assaulted her.
The 27-year old former child star wrote on her Twitter claiming the latter’s incident and she’s telling her 1.34 million followers that she’s going to sue the police department for it. She even blurted that she only smokes tobacco, doesn't drink and smoke marijuana and “believe everything she says on twitter.”
So what’s next? The New York Police Department's Internal Affairs Bureau has made an internal investigation to her claim that she was sexually harassed by two officers.
I feel sorry for Bynes because she is one of those actresses with plenty of potential talent and many believed she would make it to superstardom. Unfortunately, fame might have gotten to her, and instead she went on a different route that has destroyed her image.
We all know how important it is to keep healthy through exercise and a healthy diet but you also need to indulge in a little guilty pleasure. It’s also what some consider as rewarding one’s self for a job well done for the week’s healthy accomplishments, like say for breaking a record in your workout or abstaining from eating certain food.
Today’s podcast talks about such guilty pleasures. It’s called The Nosh Show, and it’s basically a podcast about junk food and fast food, hosted by Marvo, Ryan, Dubba, and Eric.
What I personally like about the show is the ‘Nosh or not’ segment where Marvo and the guys each share their opinion on a particular junk food and decide whether it is worth craving for or not. If you’re thinking about listening to this podcast, just a word of caution, it can potentially trigger sudden cravings for junk food. No, seriously, I for one suddenly had an appetite for a Wendy’s French fries when listened to episode 2 and M&M’s on episode 4, so consider yourself warned. Then again, maybe my willpower’s just isn’t strong enough. But anyway, it’s all for the sake of guilty pleasures, after all, right? So I guess you should be just fine as long as you make sure that you go back to your health routine afterwards.
Anyhow, in their fourth episode, Marvo talks about something he consumed that tastes like dirt while Ryan talks about taking photos of strangers' food. Also, Eric continues to declare his love for breakfast sausages smothered in syrup whereas Dubba builds a Pop-Tart ice cream sandwich. They also talk about the M&M's candy bar, BK Boneless Rib Sandwich, new Pop-Tarts (Peanut Butter Pop-Tarts), etc.
Christian Polanco is a comedian from New York who hosts the Offstage podcast. He takes a look at different comedians and entertainers and dissects their views about love, relationships, work, etc.
Grabriel Pacheco or Gabe Pacheco as what he’s known for, is Polanco’s guest for this exciting episode. The half-Mexican, half-white, Jewish-looking comedian celebrates his ambigious ethnicity. Some even confuse him for an Asian for some odd reason. An intelligent comedian, who is a good teacher as well, he can be easily described as a hippie.
They discuss Gabe’s favorite professor who has similar looks with Polanco, his background, different Puerto Ricans and Dominicans he had met, Latino culture, and more.
I’m going to come clean and admit that one of the reasons why I want Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot, Man of Steel, to be a huge blockbuster success (or at least won’t be a disappointment) is because I don’t want to feel sorry for DC [Comics] anymore for having their butts kicked by Marvel when it comes to taking their characters out from the comic book pages and in to the big screen. So far, the only blockbuster that DC has to show for is Chris Nolan’s Dark Knight franchise, compared to Marvel’s Iron Man, Spider-Man, and of course, Avengers.
Another reason why I’d like Man of Steel to be successful is because I would also love to see a Justice League movie come to fruition. But in order to have a Justice League, we’re going to need more than just Nolan’s Dark Knight and Snyder’s Man of Steel. Below is a list of former and current members of the Justice League that I think we can expect to appear in the movie.
Flash (Barry Allen version) – If you grew up in the 80s (like me) then you should be able to recall the TV series from 1990. Ask anyone who grew up watching this and they will tell you that this was a pretty decent, if not a great, TV adaptation.
Wonder Woman – For some reason, movie and TV executives are having a hard time attempting to come up with a current and modernized version of probably the world’s most famous and iconic super heroine of all time. Hopefully, we’ll be able to see a more believable Amazonian princess soon. No offense to Lynda Carter (or even Adrianne Palicki) but aren’t Amazon women suppose to be ‘well-built’? I mean, they’re said to be strong, after all, right? So I was thinking that maybe the next person to portray her ought to have the same body build as Gina Carano or pretty much any female fighter.
By the way, here’s a bonus. Check out this fan made video:
Green Lantern (John Stewart version) – That’s right, not the Hal Jordan version, which means no chance for Ryan Reynolds to return because one of the last things we need is to be constantly reminded of the one that flopped while we watch the JL movie. Sorry, Mr. Reynolds, nothing against ya. Besides, wouldn’t it be a nice idea to have a bit of diversity in the team?

Green Arrow – Why not? The TV series (Arrow) pretty much had a good run that it even managed to get renewed for a second season, which means there’s mass appeal for the character. I’m pretty sure Hollywood execs are going to consider that.
Aquaman – While some have downplayed (even to the point of ridicule) his ability to communicate with marine life, I’d still like to think that his presence has a lot to contribute in terms of team dynamics and perhaps even depth to the story and plot. If Marvel had no problems merging Thor’s world (Asgard) together with the ‘real world’ then I don’t see why DC can’t do the same for Aquaman and Atlantis.

Today’s featured podcast is sure to not only pique the interest of those who are currently studying psychology but also those who are simply curious to know about how the human mind works. It’s a podcast where topics related to psychology are discussed in an upbeat and fun manner. The show’s hosted by Dr. Michael A. Britt and in each episode he covers topics in various categories like social psychology, critical thinking, perception, motivation, etc.
The show usually comes in standard audio format but sometimes Britt will also put in an episode in video as well. An episode can be as little as only six minutes long up to just about less than an hour. Of course, there’s also the occasional guest interview where listeners get to hear another expert’s take on the subject being discuss. After all, it pays to have a second opinion, right?
This show is just – as I said – fun to listen to, especially if you’re currently taking up psychology in school. There are lots of very interesting topics that Doc Mike already has covered that I can’t even pick an episode to feature in this post. That said, I think it’d be best if you check out the episode list either on its iTunes page or official site and pick one to listen to yourself.
