To date, we’ve featured a good number of movie podcasts here on iPodder but none of have is quite like what I’m about to tell you. Unlike most of the other movie podcasts out there, this isn’t a movie review. The hosts in this particular podcast don’t talk about how good or bad a movie was, rather, they talk about its technicalities.
Anatomy of a Movie is show hosted by a group of professionals from differing facets of the movie industry: Sara Stretton, John Comerford, Marisa Serafini, and Phil Svitek. Together they dissect the different aspects of a film, from casting to acting, writing to directing, and cinematography to editing.
Once you start listening to these folks it won’t take you that long to really notice and realize just how they differ from your average movie buffs. You could say that they’re almost like the perfect mix between a movie fan and a movie critic. They talk with passion and depth, and can really get down to the nitty-gritty.
So if say you want to sound like you really know what you’re talking about and that you’re not simply giving out your own opinion the next time you talk about movies with your friends, you might want to take some cues from these guys.
