Sony later announced that the Playstation Now streaming game service will enable Playstation 3 games to be run on PlayStation 4. According to Eurogamer, Sony is "actively pursuing" a strategy to enforce this and may also offer some HD visual improvements.

However, Sony's streaming service may also not be completely backwards compatible because you are streaming directly through the internet in order to play the game, which requires users to have a stable Internet connection. So the company has yet to officially announce any further details regarding the emulation capability of Sony PS4.
