Ubisoft senior producer Vincent Pontbriand said, “As we got close to the finish, we realized we were near the target but still needed a bit more time to hone some of the details to make sure Assassin’s Creed Unity is exceptional. We sincerely appreciate players’ commitment to the game and their patience. It’s just a couple more weeks. And it’s going to be worth it.”
"This being a fully next-gen game, it requires a lot of work, a lot of production, and a lot of learning," he continued. "It's always hard to be precise and to quantify exactly how much work is involved. So as we get close to the finish we often realize we're near the target but we're not quite there yet."
Assassin's Creed Unity's delay means that the last-gen game Assassin's Creed Rogue will hit the stores on November 13. Assassin's Creed Unity will be released for the current-gen PS4, Xbox One, and PC, while Assassin's Creed Rogue will be released for the last-gen consoles PS3 and Xbox 360.
