One of PS4’s SharePlay features has been revealed, which indicates that that you can only use it for about an hour of game time. The good news is that there is no limit to the number of sessions that you can play using the service.

The 1-hour limit was revealed on Gamespot, and SCE Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida explained, "How it works is, for example, say, a friend has a game that I don't. I ask them to let me play it, and if they send me an invitation, I can access their PS4 and play while watching the video that is streamed."
However, Yoshida didn't mneiton how much time could pass between these steps but a Sony representative said that the "visitor" that doesn't own the game technically "takes over the host's account." Basically this would limit the borrower's time to play as well as the ability to save their play data to their own account; instead, they save their gameplay on the host player's account.
