The publisher is yet to officially announce it but Gamespot was told that the authenticity of the listing is unquestionable. The rumors were listed as a PlayStation 4 edition of the game with a price tag of $40 but it was pulled out later on. Darksiders 2 was one of the games that THQ (now bankrupt) developed and was released in 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC and later on for Wii U.

There are also other Nordic titles for PlayStation 4, including Legend of Kay HD, Arcania-The Complete Tale, MX vs ATV: Supercross Encore Edition, and The Book of Unwritten Tales 2. Each of these titles has a placeholder which was scheduled for December 31, 2015 although the release date might change until it's officially announced. Nordic has acquired the rights of the Darksiders franchise from THQ.
