In a recent Taipei game show, a trailer featuring a font with styling similar to that of Metal Gear Rising with a number 2 on it was released.

Many Metal Gear fans immediately speculated that it was for a Metal Gear Rising sequel that went viral. That footage appeared specifically during a short clip of the PS4 exclusive shooter The Order: 1886.

However, Ken-ichiro Imaizumi, senior producer of the Metal Gear series debunked all of the speculation saying “2” stands for "Sounds like it just a countdown number '2', it's made trailer". It might have been something of a promo for Sony's booth at the event.

Metal Gear Rising really deserves a sequel. The game was originally released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in early 2013, and a PC port of the game was released in 2014. It was developed by Kojipro as Metal Gear Solid: Rising project and was eventually handed to Platinum Games that continued it.
