Corrupted Sessions #25 - David Moleon - May 2013

2013-05-09 :: info@corrupted-recordings.com
Length: 1s

Corrupted Sessions are back with May just around the corner, the sun is out.. what better time to work out 2 hours with some big bangers! ;P

This months guest needs no introduction, it is Moop Up Records owner David Moleón

David Moleón is an expert DJ and producer with 15 years of experience. David has appeared on the line ups of prestigious events throughout Spain, including at the Electrosonic Festival, Live Dance Festival, Industrial Copera, Code, La Cova, etc… He has also sparked interest in countries like Italy, Portugal, France, Slovenia, UK, Holland.

David was born and raised in Granada, Spain, but he spent a year in Greece where he deejayed and organized various events. It was there that he was exposed to different types of music and began to define himself as an artist. Throughout his career he has invested time in mixing, music technology, web design and sound technology.

It is common to see David share line ups with big names like DJ Pepo and Cristian Varela, who praise his immense creativity and talent as a producer. David has a special knack for producing hit tracks that have become essential parts of the sessions of Europe’s most popular artists, including Ben Sims, Pepo, Cristian Varela, Robert Natus, Eric Sneo, DJ Murphy, DJ Link, César Almena and Nuke amongst others.

David kicked off his career as a producer in September 2006 from the label Djpro, quickly earning a solid reputation as a valued producer with hit tracks on other national labels. He then founded his own label, Moop Up, in 2007. The first release came out in the summer of 2008 and quickly became a hit, earning a spot on charts and sessions across Europe. Moop Up’s fourth release hit the streets in February of this year.

David contributed his track IGRIV to Ben Sim’s latest compilation CD, making David the only Spanish artist on the CD. Robert Natus also demonstrated his admiration for David by placing two of the Spanish artist’s tracks on his last two CDs.

Both his DJ sets on 3 turntables and his live-acts are examples of high-quality DJing, technical ability and force, making him a well-rounded DJ, and particularly the stand-out artist from the South of Spain.

With over 50 records in the market, on labels such as Patterns, Submission, Cobra, Soul Access, MoopUp, Adult, etc…david has become the most prolific techno producer in Spain. In Europe, he’s know as “la joya española” (the Spanish jewel).

On top of all that we'll be cranking out an awesome seleciton of tunes, giving you more than enough of your Mid week Techno fix!

Corrupted Sesions #20 - Spektre / Alexey Kotlyar - December 2012

2013-02-21 :: info@corrupted-recordings.com
Length: 1s

The Corrupted Sessions crew offer up some early festive treats giving you not 1 but 2 banging guest mixes this month courtesy of Spektre & Alexey Kotlyar.

Festive Bangers! :)

First up for this month are UK duo Spektre with an exclusive live set from their recent show in Hungary.

“Spektre have been one of the most consistent and solid production outfits in recent memory and I, for one, have become a huge fan and supporter of their sound. Whether they are producing mad, peak time bombs, or setting dancefloors on fire with their awesome live sets, these guys are definitely ones to watch and a bright shining light for the shape and sound of techno to come!” - UMEK

“Spektre's productions consist of solid techno that really remembers the rave. Music that is cool but also fun and highly danceable. These guys are just going to get bigger” - James Zabiela

“If there was a checklist for success, Spektre would have crossed off everything by now. Played gigs all over Europe – done, produced lots of strong releases & remixes – done 10 so far this year to be precise, topped the Beatport sales chart – done, got support from all the big techno guys, Sven Vath, Dubfire, Stephen Bodzin & Laurent Garnier – done, won the respect of their peers – done” - Mixmag

“The homegrown producers tipped to give Berlin’s techno crowd a run for their money” - DJ Mag

SPEKTRE weaves an intrepid, complex web amongst underground dance music’s elite. The techno brainchild of DJs/producers Filthy Rich and Paul Maddox, the dark duo was formed through a shared passion for driving electronic music and a mutual desire to push sound boundaries using the most cutting edge technology available. The fusion of their combined experience in the studio allows them to construct dark, sinister sounds mixed with twisted, haunting vocals and unnerving, atmospheric foundations.

Following that and tearing it up in fine style is Ukrainian Dj / Producer and owner of digital labels AK Recordings & AK Series Alexey Kotlyar.

He engaged in the creation of Techno & House music. Collaborating with a number of the world's best techno labels. : Adult, Patterns , Guilhotina, Amigos , Neptuun City , Undershape ,Lactik.. and many others. Involved in DJing. Graduated from music school and the school of musical composition. In 2000' , he graduated with honors DJ school "Banging Bonanza", under the leadership of Dj Strontium.

Supported by : Armin Van Buuren , David Moleon , Raul Mezcolanza , Trevor Rockcliffe , DJ LINK , Umek , Ben Sims , Hertz , Phntm , Mauro Picotto , Marco Carola and more.

Yet one more show you really can't afford to miss!

Corrupted Sessions #18 - Dylan Drazen - October 2012

2012-10-04 :: info@corrupted-recordings.com
Length: 1s

Corrupted Sessions brings you more exclusive banging music for October for you to shake your stuff at.

We have an exclusive 90 min live set from Dylan Drazen recorded live from Tube Tech, Guadalajara, Spain... some serious banging beats for your speakers!
Dylan Drazen is one of America's most well traveled and globally respected techno DJs. Despite his nature to fly steadily below the world's Superstar DJ radar over the past decade, Dylan has gained legions of devoted fans in worldwide broadband bedrooms who purr at the thought of him appearing in their home town.

Dylan is obsessed with finding and exposing new music. Professionally trained as a studio sound engineer, it was inevitable he'd start to create his own. His original productions have been showcased under esteemed labels like François K.'s Clicktracks and Chicago's Blueline, Montreal's Ascend and Sweden's G-Force. But most of his classic distorted hard techno work can be found in the archive of Brooklyn's Remains Records, run by Side Four co-pilot Tony Rohr.

Several of Drazen's tracks have been licensed for DJ mixes, including compilations from Chris Liebing, Frankie Bones, Germany's Scranzwerk series, WaveTec, and Portugal's Kaos house imprint. Dylan's most recent studio credits come as mix engineer for large scale mix CD compilations, from Ultra Records' Out.Anthems (in which he has a featured track) to the underground New York 2 "tha" Bone double CD for 2007.

During performances, Dylan's preferred musical palate consists of three decks, a couple of CD players, a looping sampler and outboard effects. During his frequent shows in Spain it's typical to see him grabbing, twisting and manipulating clusters of knobs buttons and faders, all precisely moved to follow his momentary sonic path. They often call him "un máquina," chasing the inspiration flowing through him. Nothing is planned until seconds before it occurs, and when it does, it is extremely deliberate. Sometimes daring and unexpected but strangely fitting sounds are injected into the system on the fly, displaying a true love for his craft. Not afraid to experiment, he risks humiliation before thousands.
Following this mammoth set, the Corrupted Sessions team will be firing the show home in suitable banging style! ;)

This lead to 6 releases for Miniatures records which is lead by great techno duo Phunk Investigation and his remix edited and played by Richie Hawtin. Releasing tracks by admired artists labels was a great accomplishment.

Length: 2s

Corrupted Sessions Back once again with a musical onslaught, The Corrupted Sessions team will be announcing the winner of the Corruption Records Remix Contest as well as throwing down some the latest tunes to drop by the studio.

For even more musical wizardary, this months guest is non other than Sterling Moss.

Sterling Moss is best known for his three deck wizardry, complete with FX units and drum machines, bringing together a cutting edge fusion of tough grooves in an explosive dj mix. Globetrotting from destinations such as: North America, South America, Japan, Holland, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Austria, France, Portugal, Latvia, Poland, Croatia, Malta & Ireland, playing alongside the worlds dj elite, as well as having held a 6 year residency with the formidable Dancevalley/HQ in Holland which has hosted dance giants such as Carl Cox, Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, Jeff Mills. After playing headline slots next to Dave Clarke at a 25,000 capacity Impulz show in Holland, or playing the main stage at Argentinas Energy Parade hosted by Westbam to a crowd of 100,000, Sterling has certainly shown he is a dj force to be reckoned with.

On the production front, as well as running his 'Sound Lab' studio, Sterling is also an official programmer for Roland Synthesisers, having worked extensively on their MC-909 projects after they were impressed with his use of their vintage TR-909 drum machine. Moss also found UK chart success with the techno anthem R.E.S.P.E.C.T., which appeared on the Nukleuz DJ Nation Bootleg Edition and reached 33 in the UK national charts alongside the likes of Robbie Williams and Eminem! Coupling this with underground credibility such as a collaboration for Apex Recordings finding its way onto Carl Cox's U60311 mix album, as well as releases on a huge range of labels including: Stay Up Forever, RAW, Hardasfunk, Neuroshocked, Polymeric, Apex, Hellhouse, Nukleuz, Powertools, One Inch, Rotters Golf Club, Yolk, Cluster, No Entry, Strata, Carbon Audio, Maximum Minimum, Hive & Torque, corrupted Data and many more!

As well as running his own record labels, Racetrax & Bodyshock, Sterling has also worked extensively with event organisers in London helping promote the clubnights 'Tribal' & 'Laboratory', culminating in Laboratory's sell-out 4,500 capacity Brixton Academy show being a massive success.

Corrupted Sessions #11 - Elton D / City of Machine - March 2012

Our first guest this month is Brazilian DJ & Producer Elton D who these days brings a varying array of styles to the table such as Techno, Hardgroove, Minimal & Tech House.

Elton D. is nowadays a reference in the production of electronic music in Brazil, and has come to the fore due to his releases by international record labels.
He started working with music in 1996, and has always preferred electronic music and its alternative varieties. In the beginning of his career his compositions were influenced by house, drum' n' bass, techno and other music styles. Always eclectic and well influenced, he decided to work with house and techno.

A landmark in his career took place in 2004, when he was invited by Pierre J. (known as Hertz), a Swedish producer, to release one of his most important vinyl (Tunnel E.P.) by Sway Records, a Swedish label. The records was a huge success, and was in the top-10 list of renamed international DJs, such as Preach, Misjah, Marko Nastic, Christian Fischer, Trevor Rockcliffe and others.

Many invitations followed, and Elton D. has release records with several recording companies, such as Primal Force (England), Patterns (Holland), Yin Yang (England), G-Force (Sweden), Stark Rec. (Switzerland), Definition Records (Germany), Nitrosound Records (Brazil), etc.

In 2003 he participated of "Sao Paulo Fashion Week" at Coca-Cola Light's stand, where he helped other DJs produce soundtracks. He also produced a number of soundtracks for fashion parades, radio stations and means of communication in the state of Sao Paulo. In his dj/live act performances, Elton D. has never failed to show the reason why he has been so often invited to play in the main electronic music events.

In March 2006 he went on an European tour, passing by Germany (Melstrup, Emden and Dresden), Macedonian (Skopje and Kavardarci) and Kosovo (Prizren and Pristina),.and left the mark of his energetic groove in each one of these places.
In the same tour he spent some days on studio with top DJ and producer Marko Nastic in Belgrade - Serbia, preparing tracks for future release.
Moving forward, 2007 was a year of success - releasing 3 EPs at the famous label Patterns from the Netherlands with huge resonance from every crowd and artists like Preach, Cave, Murphy, Dylan Drazen. Also touring around the EU with amazing gigs such as Code in Madrid, Vardagsrummet in Stockholm, University Union in Newcastle England or at the Rheingold in Duesseldorf. A techno-liveact and techno-dj with a pure heart, lots of energy, funkiness, and groooove! Be prepared!

Our Second Guest for the month is Ukrainian Producer City of Machine, already with a hose of releases and remixes under his belt, his adept styles of deep, dark, detroit techno, industrial techno, minimal techno is gaining massive support from majory DJ's already. Corrupted Sessions #10 - DJ Dyno / Leon Vuksic

2 more cracking mixes and guests for you this month starting with Dutch DJ & Producer Rick B (aka DJ Dyno)
His love for music started when he was a little kid. Listening to the radio almost 24/7, he often heard mixes from the Dutch Mastermixer Ben Liebrand. Because of this, his interest in music became more intensive. With his cassette recorder he tried to make remixes like Ben did, with various results.
At the end of the 80s, he often went to a discotheque in The Hague where well known (hardcore) deejays played. It was there where he first came across the so called "DJ". Not much later he bought himself a turntable and a simple mixer. His second turntable came from his dad, who did'nt use it anymore. Then the practicing began to learn the right skills to become a great DJ. ONE year later, he performed his first set in the same discotheque in The Hague where he was a regular guest!! From 1991 he started to buy records on a weekly basis and performed in small bars, party's and some birthdays. He now has more than 2250 (mostly hardcore and hardstyle) vinyl records in his collection, and a large collection of (mostly house, dance, latin and club) CD's. Since then, he played on many parties, festivals, in bars and clubs.
Recently, he started producing his own tracks and concentrating on his own style of Tech House.

Our Second and final guest for the month is Leon Vuksic (Ready2Rock, CrashTune Recordings, Kaseta Music)
Leon Vuksic was born in Karlovac, 10th of July 1992. When he was only 16,he was in intensive monitoring and dealing with electronic music. In 2008 he got his hand on his first mixer and learned to play with DJ software. Eventually, improved technique and mixing and started using CD Players.
In the summer of 2009. he became a resident at the beach bar Southern Comfort in Baska Voda (Makarska) is thus begins to build a professional career, playing Tech House, Progressive House and Techno. After the summer he returned to Zagreb and represents his sound in the club No.1 , where he soon becomes a resident and changes his style to a more Tech House and Techno vibe. In November 2009. has its first performance before a larger audience in Aquarius club in Zagreb at the famous Astralis party, and that leaded to be a guest at the Zagreb's Plavi Radio in the show "Zagreb DJ Music. "
Leon has preformed in all clubs in Zagreb and beyond, and became an interesting name and his sound is beginning to leave bigger trace.

Corrupted Sessions #9 - Pep Bago / Zule - January 2012

Corrupted Sessions returns for 2012 with Tim C bringing you some of the freshest new sounds to start off the New Year in fine style!

Starting the new year with getting our Funk on, our first guest is Producer Pep Bago who also goes under the alias of Narcisso. He'll be dropping a fine blend of Tech House and Techno to shake off those Christmas blues!

Closely following on from that we have Slovenian DJ & Producer Zule bringing up the funk once more.

His music journey started when he was about 15 years old when he first heard his fathers CD Medicine Woman and Medwyn Goodall . Afro-tribalistic sounds and the naturalistic atmospheres just impressed him. He discovered the music programs which were available then and he started writing music. The presence of natural instruments were always there. African tribes and their special ceremony chant singing, playing their special instruments out there deep in the jungle and natural melodies are the things he loves. But thats not all in his large music aspect. He also produce music based on slow deep funk house club sounds. He is known for his special natural sound.

Big influence made several producers. To name a few .... Mark Williams, Paul Mac, Mark Broom, Joris Voorn,...

His first release has happened on the label Impact Mechanics from Chicago,USA and has been played on Miami Winter Music Conference.

Now he is releasing his music on big labels like Stimulus with Paul Mac, Be As One, Nightvision, home label Vezotonik by Veztax, Sub Cult and many more.
