Dr. John Ward, Head of Viral Hepatitis at the CDC

2013-03-14 :: noreply@blogger.com (Lloyd Wright)

Dr. John Ward talks about Hepatitis in the HIV community.Getting tested has become a number one item for the FDA. The info on the video is good info. They really do not say much about HVC other than ½ of the people with AIDS also have a co-infection of HCV and that more people die from HCV than AIDS.
They make it sound like a public service but what it really is is a need to make more money pushing a treatment that does not work. And as always they have a cure right around the corner and last year they had the 100% cure which turned out to kill people and never was a 100% cure as advertised in the LA times in full page ads and on KNX radio.
Not sure I believe any of them anymore. To many lies from the past.Lloyd

Raw Foods Under Attack

2011-08-14 :: noreply@blogger.com (Lloyd Wright)

d
A little more than a year ago, Rawesome Foods, a health food co-op based in Venice, California was the target of an armed raid by several agencies, and the resulting video went viral.

On August 3, 2011, Rawesome experienced another multi-agency raid, but this one resulted in the arrest of the establishment's owner James Stewart.

Stewart, and Sharon Palmer, the farmer who supplies him with raw goat milk, are being held on bails in excess of $100,000 and are each charged with four felonies and several more misdemeanors. Some examples of the charges are "processing unpasteurized milk," "improper labeling of food," and "improper egg temperatures."

The government has kept pursuing Stewart and his club for years, despite a lack of any reports of illness or injury from consumption of his foods. Rawesome members argue that they are part of a private club, not subject to government regulation, and that they are being persecuted for their alternative lifestyles.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office would not comment for this video, but offered this press release and also released a list of the charges against Stewart and Palmer:

Dr. Joel Wallach says many effective cures will never become mainstream due to powerful pharma and insurance lobbies. Withholding those cures, he says, should be a class A felony. FDA Approves The Abbott RealTime HCV assay for Hepatitis C

2011-05-28 :: noreply@blogger.com (Lloyd Wright)

Abbott just announced that it has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market its RealTime PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test for measuring the viral load of hepatitis C (HCV), the leading cause of liver cancer in the United States.

The Abbott RealTime HCV assay, developed for use on the Abbott m2000 system, is intended for use as an aid in the management of HCV-infected patients undergoing antiviral therapy. The assay measures HCV RNA levels at baseline and during treatment and can be utilized to predict sustained and non-sustained virological response to HCV therapy. The results from the RealTime HCV assay must be interpreted within the context of all relevant clinical and laboratory findings. The Abbott RealTime HCV assay is not for screening blood, plasma, serum or tissue donors for HCV, or to be used as a diagnostic test to confirm the presence of HCV infection.

The Abbott RealTime HCV test offers precise measurement (quantitation) of HCV in human plasma or serum. It is a highly sensitive HCV viral load test and the only one for which the limit of detection (lowest level of virus that generates a positive result) and the limit of quantitation (lowest exact viral load measurement) are the same, 12 IU/mL. This level of sensitivity enables clinicians to measure very low levels of the HCV virus to gauge success of antiviral drug treatment for eradicating the infection. …

D-Ribose Treatment for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia

2011-05-03 :: noreply@blogger.com (Lloyd Wright)

While every cell in the body has the ability to make D – Ribose naturally, the metabolic pathway to make D – Ribose is slow and rate limited. In times of metabolic stress the body is unable to produce D – Ribose. This limits ATP synthesis, restricts the formation of important cellular compounds, and delays tissue recovery. The following video was produced by Douglas Laboratories.

Wobenzym for Inflammation & Aging

2011-04-03 :: noreply@blogger.com (Lloyd Wright)

Wobenzym is an enzyme preparation originally designed in Germany in the 1960s and is a natural anti-inflammatory with many additional health benefits.

Although its original use was primarily to treat osteoarthritis, studies have revealed that Wobenzym lowers C-reactive protein levels (a marker of chronic infection in the body) on average by 30%!

The latest research, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, has documented that individuals with high levels of C-reactive protein have up to 6 times the likelihood of a heart attack or strokes as individuals with lower levels.

In addition, Wobenzym acts as a natural and safe alternative to anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen.

Edible and Medicinal Uses for Wild Thistle

2010-04-21 :: noreply@blogger.com (Lloyd Wright)

Milk thistles are thistles of the genus Silybum Adans., flowering plants of the daisy family (Asteraceae). They are native to the Mediterranean regions of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. The name "milk thistle" derives from two features of the leaves: they are mottled with splashes of white and they contain a milky sap. However, it is the seeds of milk thistle that herbalists have used for 2000 years to treat chronic liver disease and protect the liver against toxins. Increasing research is being undertaken on the physiological effects, therapeutic properties and possible medical uses of milk thistle. *
